In my final years of high school, I fell in love with golf—a love that only grew as I studied at Indiana University. Driven by this passion and the desire to solve real problems for golfers, I set out to create a golf bag that could offer more than just storage. The concept was simple yet powerful: a two-in-one bag where golfers can detach a smaller, light carry bag for shorter shots without lugging around all their clubs, preventing the usual hassle of wet or misplaced clubs. To turn this vision into reality, I teamed up with Dr. Travis Brown, a mentor who encouraged me to dive into prototyping. I began by scavenging discarded golf bags, repurposing them to explore my design ideas, despite having limited engineering experience. Armed with a handsaw, plastic welding gun, needles, and endless determination, I spent countless hours testing and redesigning, learning the ins and outs of engineering and fabric design along the way. After many late nights and design tweaks, I finally held the first prototype—a golf bag that’s functional, innovative, and designed to improve the golfing experience.
